The Saint Pierre le Vieux (Saint Pierre the Elder) is known as the first Christian cathedral of Strasbourg and it was built on a very important Roman Road, named Strata Superior. The Saint Pierre le Vieux church is also split into a Catholic and a Protestant Church. The first one was built in a Gothic style in 1382, the Protestant church being built in 1529.
